Re: Appalachia reinforcements?

Wow!! I'm just glad somebody else noticed and said it. There are a few players on that team have tons of heart and would do anything to win, but the majority are just there to be seen on the field. And it all starts with the coaching staff. If they can't motivate and coach the kids properly they're not going to be that good of a team. Austin may be a nice guy, but he's a sorry coach. Look at his baseball teams. His football teams are headed the same way. With a better coaching staff this team could've been way better. They did as well as they did because of a few who played their hearts out. 1-9 or 2-8 next year? I'll be floored it they win 1.

Listen to stripes abou letting players come back, I know Tom let it happen, along with all the other coaches in the area, it was just not as public as it is now, with Appy in the play-offs and the Green Wave faithful making such a big deal over it. Don't worry wave, you will finally advance in the playoffs this year after how many years of not advancing, or even making the playoffs? Man, everyone on here has been putting Burton down for bragging about their team, especially the Cliintwood fans, but now that you finally dropped to D-1, all of a sudden you all are bragging? If Appy doesn't pull a huge upset today, then wait until next week, little ole Norton will open the "whoop-ass" on you.

    99. It makes a bit of a difference when you have to play Haysi, Honaker, PV, or GC to get to the title game than playing St. Paul, Ervinton, Twin Springs, Twin Valley, Hurley, ect.

LOL, yep, makes a big difference for Clintwood to play in D-! doesn't it. The Rye Cove rule will blow up in Clintwood's face come time to play in the region. Burton has all but 1 player back.

So is it better to play Burton or the team that beat Burton by 30?

I am GLAD Clintwood is now Div1 #2 seed sounds ALOT better than missing the playoffs again

I think I would have waited one year to move down.
